She has provided the tools, in this book, for everyone to do Pilates (or eat forever) by utilizing the, easy to read and follow guidelines. The colorful pictures speak for themselves. Being a long time Pilates Instructor the book is exciting and fresh to me. Brooke has a way with words!Brooke teaches us to fish for ourselves in this book. Love this book!

This book is clear and the photo illustrations are fantastic. I have rarely seen a resource that I could use without any instruction - but with Brooke's video and this book, I understand and can perform the exercises in Series I, Series II and I'm working some Series III into my routine. I have been taking lessons in person as well - and this book makes those more productive and rewarding.

I have many books and DVDs on Pilates and have taken private lessons for years. This book is excellent because of its detailed descriptions with accompanying photographs and suggestions for which moves are best for your situation. This book is not a substitute for a Pilates teacher, especially if you are a beginner. It serves as an excellent supplement for those folks wanting to learn more about each move and the suggested modifications suitable for different skill levels of the Pilates student.

If you are a fan of Brooke Siler and have her Pilates DVD than this is the book for you! A companion book for sure. This book contains all the information you could want. A wealth of information and pictures so you can see how each Pilates exercise is done. Would highly recommend!

Love the electronic version of this book because you can take it with you everywhere! There's no excuse to brake my Pilates routine while I am on the go. Super easy to follow and it shows modifications to the exercises so you can customize it to fit your needs and level. Very happy with it!

She loves it. Has loads of information and is easy to read.

Some exercises are not well explained. There is not more depth, detail and possible mystakes people would do. It is a good inspiration for exercise with equipment.

This book shows you step by step how to do certain pilates moves. I like the author's focus on classical pilates. I also purchased her DVD which is a great companion to this book.

So far so good. I have 25 years in IT and 6 years as a municipal police officer. It was the forensics direction this book goes that piqued my interest. I may consider a second profession after I retire from IT. I'm fairly versed in courtroom procedures and attorney questioning techniques from my many times on the stand. The early part of the book is a little boring or me since I've been there and done that. I peeked to some of the later pages and saw good stuff coming after the basics. It's nice to read what someone else has experienced.

In an obscure federal court opinion, a judge opined that computer forensics is both art and science. With Harlan Carvey, computer forensics is science predicated upon art - and hard work. Few people outside this small craft are equipped to appreciate what computer forensics is - and I am not about to attempt explaining the full scope of computer forensics in this limited space. Suffice it to say that a primary objective of computer forensics is the hunt for data. Those who do this for a living know that no two situations are the same and thus practitioners must have broad knowledge of operating systems, particularly Microsoft Windows. And working in the innards of Windows isn't for sissies. Harlan Carvey is among the few practitioners who write for the trade. He is an accomplished Perl scripter and one of his tools, RegRipper, is widely used. Here, Harlan attempts to explain how to conduct forensic analysis of the Windows Registry. The Registry is never-never land for most of the computer forensic "experts" I've known. Not long ago, I assisted a client in obtaining a large settlement because the opposing expert paid no attention to the Registry and I did. Carvey explains the Registry in a systematic manner. He begins with an overview of Registry analysis which I think Is too short, but in fact is probably going to be overkill for most because they simply don't get it. He moves on to Registry analysis tools and then case studies. Overall, for those with little or no understanding of Windows Registry, it is probably a good introduction. I remember way back when the Registry was introduced and then had its functionality extended in Windows 95. Little information was available from Microsoft and those of us in the field had to learn Registry the hard way. Today, people like Harlan are developing tools for Registry analysis and writing books explaining how to do it. Pretty neat. Harlan has done his homework in gathering information on the Registry and he obviously understands it well enough to write fine tool with which to analyze it. Yet, I would say that this book is not suitable for beginners in computer forensics because there is so much else to know about operating systems and file systems before you can grasp what the Registry is all about. By the same token, the book will provide only tidbits for those who have been doing serious computer forensics for several years. Carvey's writing style is smooth, though the editors at Syngress might consider taking a refresher course. Overall, despite the high price of the book, I think any serious practitioner of computer forensics would realize some benefit from reading this book.Jerry

I love this book and I found the information within it very valuable.However the kindle edition of it is lazily programmed. The index and table of contents are very poor, lacking detail, and it is difficult to find sections that you wish to reference.There are no page numbers either, just section numbers.This wouldn't be such a problem with a print edition which is easy to browse through, but it is not sufficient for an ebook.If this kindle book was easy to navigate it would be indispensible.The content is worth five stars but the poor design of the kindle edition is worth about two. Therefore I will give this edition four stars.

Harlan Carvey is well known for writing clear concise books. This one continues that line of quality writing. The book is easily understood and the information presented is quite useful. Should my university allow for another Digital Forensic Science course to be developed and taught, I plan to use this book. Chiefly because it's not written like the standard textbook (boring) but is written to clearly convey information. Thanks Harlan for another good book. -T. Carver, CCE

CD arrived broken :( No clue how to replace it

Really like it, short and to the point with great nuggets of knowledge. Used it to populate an IR script with keys and other methods I otherwise would have never known about. I don't know if $60 is really the right price for a book this short, but it does have lots of good information. Price is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Can't go wrong with Harlan Carvey.

Very thorough book. Written nicely in a format that most people would easily understand and be able to follow. I highly recommend it.

About the Author

Jack and Dolores Cakebread are the founders of Cakebread Cellars, a renowned winery whose wines are enjoyed in fine restaurants around the world. Along with sons Dennis, Bruce, and Steve, the Cakebreads manage 460 acres of prime vineyards in the Napa and Anderson Valleys, along with a series of popular culinary events. The coauthors of The Cakebread Cellars Napa Valley Cookbook, Jack and Dolores live in California’s Napa Valley.  Brian Streeter is the culinary director at Cakebread Cellars, and the coauthor of The Cakebread Cellars Napa Valley Cookbook. He oversees the winery’s successful wine and food program and directs the annual American Harvest Workshop. This book has many excellent recipes using fresh ingredients and wine. The many recipes for seafood, salads,sandwiches, soups and appetizers are creative. The history of the winery is included.

This book has some great recipes! I love that it's seasonal so you can use the best ingredients at certain times of the year. But some of the recipes can be very time consuming and at an intermediate level. Also, I prefer cookbooks with pictures of every recipe, so I know exactly what it should look like when finished.

The cookbook was a gift that the receiver really wanted. The service was excellent.No problems only praisethat I was able to purchase the book at a reasonable price and receive shipment in time for the birthday.

This is not the world's worst cookbook and it is well written. However, I was not looking to purchase publicity for Cakebread Cellars. I thought that the recipes would be better and that there would be more of them. So many people at Amazon give 4 or 5 stars just because a book was published.

This used to be a very good derm atlas. 2013 edition is an example of cost cutting by the publisher. The book "lost" almost 100 pages comparing with the previous edition: the pages are of cheap qulity, very difficult to flip through as pages are sticking together; pictures got smaller; text is difficult to read etc etc etc. This is sad...

This is a really good book. I used it in school as will as in practice. I pictures are awesome even though they are textbook. We know that all patients present differently. My medical director wanted to purchase the book from me but I said no. Would purchase again. A good reference.

This book is amazing! Super helpful having descriptions and pictures side by side while studying. Unfortunately, the binding on this book did not last. I just purchased this book for my summer semester while began at the end of May, and while studying for my dermatology exam the binding has already broken and random pages have torn off. Great book, mediocre quality.

Outstanding reference. Great quality photos.

Newer and different pictures, closer in may ways to what I see in practice with good realistic color. Some older additions just seemed to be a rehash of older additions. Best part is this edition has ICD 9 codes-that's a lbor saver until the move to 10 occurs.

Dermatology is a visual specialty. This book provides a handy reference of photos and adequate description. Highly recommended for all physicians who treat skin conditions.
