She has provided the tools, in this book, for everyone to do Pilates (or eat forever) by utilizing the, easy to read and follow guidelines. The colorful pictures speak for themselves. Being a long time Pilates Instructor the book is exciting and fresh to me. Brooke has a way with words!Brooke teaches us to fish for ourselves in this book. Love this book!
This book is clear and the photo illustrations are fantastic. I have rarely seen a resource that I could use without any instruction - but with Brooke's video and this book, I understand and can perform the exercises in Series I, Series II and I'm working some Series III into my routine. I have been taking lessons in person as well - and this book makes those more productive and rewarding.
I have many books and DVDs on Pilates and have taken private lessons for years. This book is excellent because of its detailed descriptions with accompanying photographs and suggestions for which moves are best for your situation. This book is not a substitute for a Pilates teacher, especially if you are a beginner. It serves as an excellent supplement for those folks wanting to learn more about each move and the suggested modifications suitable for different skill levels of the Pilates student.
If you are a fan of Brooke Siler and have her Pilates DVD than this is the book for you! A companion book for sure. This book contains all the information you could want. A wealth of information and pictures so you can see how each Pilates exercise is done. Would highly recommend!
Love the electronic version of this book because you can take it with you everywhere! There's no excuse to brake my Pilates routine while I am on the go. Super easy to follow and it shows modifications to the exercises so you can customize it to fit your needs and level. Very happy with it!
She loves it. Has loads of information and is easy to read.
Some exercises are not well explained. There is not more depth, detail and possible mystakes people would do. It is a good inspiration for exercise with equipment.
This book shows you step by step how to do certain pilates moves. I like the author's focus on classical pilates. I also purchased her DVD which is a great companion to this book.
